The best way to accomplish your goals is to get started. Zig Ziglar would always say, “you do not have to be great to start but you have to start to be great.” Often you will find people want to know how things will end before they are willing to begin. Then they wonder why others are able to achieve more. It comes down to setting large goals that require massive action. If you can see how you will achieve a goal before you start then your goal is to small. Small goals do not require enough creative energy to motivate us to grow. But you say it has to be realistic?
What is realistic? Realistic just means you need to believe it can happen, not that you know how you will accomplish the goal. If your say it is not possible because it has never been done please look around yourself. Everything you see was created by someone before it had ever been seen. Everything is impossible until someone does it. Put your massive goal on paper, look at it every morning when you wake and night before you lay down to sleep. Then simply get started. You will not figure out step two until you have taken step one. Many of the steps you take will not work. That is normal and great. Now you are not failing, just figuring out what not to do. The path to success will appear to those on the trail, not those on the couch.
If you want to live a life of abundance in your personal, family, work and religious life you have to learn this principle. We must take action before we are given the answer. It will not come sitting around waiting for lightning to strike. If you do not want to live in this way at least give yourself relief by not complaining about what you currently have in your life. You are where you choose to be. What will today bring?
